Position: Mobility Tax Manager

GTN is seeking a Mobility Tax Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional with a background in expatriate tax, individual taxation, and cross‑border mobility who enjoys client interaction, technically complex work, and mentoring team members.

What You’ll Do

• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary contact on global mobility tax and expatriate tax engagements
• Advise clients on US individual tax and international tax issues related to expatriates, business travelers, remote workers, and permanent relocations
• Review individual income tax returns (1040, state and local) including international reporting (Forms 1116, 2555, 8938, 5471, etc.)
• Identify tax compliance requirements, risks, and planning opportunities for globally mobile populations
• Review work prepared by Staff and Seniors; provide technical guidance and feedback
• Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and workflows in a professional services environment
• Collaborate with colleagues across tax, payroll, and mobility teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality service
• Coordinate with foreign tax providers and domestic advisors as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field
• CPA and/or EA required
• 5+ years of experience in global mobility tax or international individual taxation
• Strong working knowledge of US individual income tax compliance for globally mobile individuals
• Prior experience reviewing complex individual tax returns
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills           
• Demonstrated self‑motivation to lead projects, ensure timely delivery, and mentor staff independently
• Background in public accounting or professional services preferred

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range is $125,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation is determined by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant mobility experience, qualifications, certifications and licensures, skills, and geographic location.
